Canadians between the ages of 18 and 30 have the opportunity to work while they travel in Australia for one year under the working holiday visa agreement.

Whats Included
Although we cannot organise a job for you before your departure, we will take care of every other thing you will need before you depart and when you arrive in Australia, “the lucky country” and make sure you get into work as soon as possible after you arrive… Here is everything that is included in your package.
* Working Holiday Visa Application – Workinholidays.com will send you the application and will then check your application to ensure you have filled it in correctly and will then submit the application to The Australian government on your behalf and pay the $190 fee.
* Information on how to get the best insurance plan (you must have travel insurance for the entire time in Australia)
* Information and great deals on flights to and from Australia and other countries you may like to visit on the way there and on the way the home.
* Pre-departure information about working and traveling in Australia – All the things you need to know…
* Tax File Number prior to departing Canada, this is the same as our Social Insurance Number so you don’t have to spend hours in line when you are in Sydney.
* Bank Account number before you depart Canada so you can easily transfer funds and not have to pay loads of back charges and don’t have to spend time waiting in bank lines in Australia when you could be doing something else.
* Vodafone Sim –card and actual phone number prior to your departure with $10AUD credit when you top it up. You will pick up the Sim card in our Australian office.
* Airport Pickup at Sydney International Airport and transfer to downtown hostel
* Travel Itinerary and map of Sydney upon arrival the hostel.
* 2 nights in Sydney’s best hostel in the heart of Downtown Sydney. All rooms are shared dorm rooms however you can upgrade to single or twin rooms and can purchase more nights if you want to.
* A map of Sydney and information on how to get to our partner office in Sydney
* Next Business Day orientation at our convenient, modern office in the heart of downtown Sydney and only minutes walk from the hostel. The orientations includes information on:
o Where and how to find work in Sydney and around Australia. Within the office there are 3 of Australia’s best recruitment companies that specialise in finding office, retail, customer service, and industrial jobs for our working holiday makers. You will have preferential access to these 3 groups of recruiters… get work fast!
o Where and how to find accommodation in Sydney and Australia and how to watch out for people that are trying to “rip-off” the backpacker…
o Information on tax and what tax to pay or don’t pay
o How to get around Sydney and Australia for cheap
o Activities and Events that you may like to do in Sydney including daily activities organised at your hostel
The office is open Monday – Friday 9 am to 6.30 pm and Saturday 12 pm- 4 pm and is a place you are free to hang out and feel like you have a home away from home…. And you will also receive
* Unlimited free internet
* Free tea and coffee and refreshments
* Mail holding service
* A lounge to hang out and read notice boards, meet friends and other travelers
* Meet and discuss job opportunities with one of our many recruitment / job finders
* Talk to representatives that can explain extend your work visa, there is a fee for this and some conditions you must meet, like working on a farm for 3 months… but once again, we take the hassle out of the visa process so you can spend more time doing what you want…
* Undertake the Rsponsible Service of Alcohol course so you can work in a restaurant or bar – Book this course before you depart and save even more money.
In addition to the above while you are in Australia you will also receive;
* A free drink, usually after the orientation but sometimes upon arrival, depending on when our partner in Sydney is getting other travelers together for a drink.
* Access to MaxPay, a payrolling service that enables you to be paid using LAHFA, so you gain a higher tax-free allowance if you take a job through one of our recruitment partners and even if you find a job through another recruitment agent. Why give your money to the Australian government when you don’t legally have to!
* Fax and photocopy services
* Bi-monthly online magazine providing you updated information about working and traveling in Australia as well as information on tax and superannuation refunds.
* Online superannuation account so you can get some money back. This is like Canada’s CPP and with this account once you apply for your refund, you can use this account to track the process of your refund and when you will receive your money in your bank account. There is a fee for this or the tax agent will take just 12.5% of your refund and you collect the rest. * 24 hour emergency number to our partner in Australia.
* An online community is coming soon, so you can meet other travelers as you travel around.

Our partner office in Sydney is located between Town hall and the central railway on George Street in the heart of downtown Sydney.
The office is a place to relax, speak to one of our partner specialist recruiters who can find you the best possible job, to send faxes and to meet other travelers like yourselves.
The office has 3 recruitment companies, taxback services, a lounge and is open Monday to Friday 9 am to 6.30 pm and Saturday 12 pm- 4 pm.
When you receive your arrival details from workinholidays.com you will receive a detailed itinerary and map so you can easily get form you awesome hostel up George Street to your orientation.
