Language & Culture Travel Program

ILC organizes its Language & Culture Travel Program for different groups of people including university or college students, middle (high) school students, companies or organization, senior people etc. We combine language and culture orientation courses with cultural events and workshops, as well as guided tours to historic attractions and interesting cities. People who are interested in exploring China and its culture and at the same time want to learn Chinese are all welcome to join our Language & Culture Travel Program!

Intensive Language Course

This is a short, intensive course to give participants basic knowledge of Chinese language and an overview of Chinese culture.  It is normally arranged in the morning and last for 3 hours each day.  Participants will be carefully placed into small groups of a maximum of 10 persons according to their level.

 

Cultural Workshops

The cultural workshops will normally be arranged following the language class in the afternoons. The topics cover all aspects of Chinese culture and arts such as: calligraphy, traditional painting, martial arts, cooking, board games, folk arts and crafts, music and drama, etc. All courses are delivered in English and conducted by professional Chinese artists, or experts in Chinese culture and arts.

 

Elective Classes

The elective classes which are normally 1 to 1.5 hour long are specially arranged in the afternoon for participants.  The classes cover different aspects of Chinese language, culture and arts that are well known all around the world.  Each class will be instructed by very professional language teachers or artists. Participants will have the opportunity to extend their range of professional language skills as well as fully appreciate Chinese culture and arts.

 

Tours

Our tours to places of historic interest and scenic beauty are led by highly qualified English speaking guides. We arrange both in-town tours and out-of-town tours. We also conduct business or academic tours to local companies, factories, schools or organizations, etc.

- "Explore Beijing" Language & Culture Travel Program: This 7 days program is a unique opportunity for participants who want to combine their short trip to China with an intensive study of the Chinese language. The program offers besides its Mandarin program also several cultural activities and trips in Beijing which will deliver an unparalleled experience and immersion into China and its distinctive culture.

- "Experience Beijing" Langauge & Culture Travel Program: This is a 2 weeks program specially designed for people who spend a relatively short period of time in Beijing but want to get the most out of it. The combination between an interesting Chinese language program, several cultural activities and trips in Beijing will make your stay in China unforgettable!

- "Discover China" Langauge & Culture Travel Program: This is a 3 week program which offers a great opportunity to explore Beijing and other places in China while studying the Chinese language. Our main focus lies on incorporating the direct experience of China and its culture into the study of the Chinese language. The program delivers participant an essential understanding and involvement with China and its history.

- "China Homstay" Language & Culture Travel Program: The program emphasizes on fostering bonds between different cultures by offering a 1 month stay in a Chinese host family. Besides providing this real immersion and experience of the Chinese way of living, this program also offers an extended language training program, several cultural activities and trips in Beijing and other places in China.

- "China Internship" Language & Culture Travel Program: This is a special designed program for individuals who would like to study Chinese and at the same time gain some important work experience in China. During this 3 months program, participants will have the opportunity to attend an extensive Language Training program, participate at different cultural activities and experience the reality of the working world in China.
