• Article publication in print and online media 3- 6 month (longer internships available upon request) A journalistic internship is just that... you do journalism. We send you out to report, interview, review and preview. You learn by doing. Your articles are then edited for content, and critiqued. If you're good you get better, if you're really good - we recommend you to partner publications. Journalism interns work alongside Provokator staff to learn the several aspects behind reportage, review / previews, the art of the interview as well as proper research and fact checking. Areas of importance: - subject matter - content - sources - turn around time
>> Weekly writing assignments (250 " 400 wds depending on topic and subject matter): Interns will be assigned one to two articles a week to write and post on Provokator.org online magazine. This could include:
• Review of an event or action (person, place or thing " ie. Movies, restaurants, protests, art shows etc…).
• Preview of an upcoming event or action (person, place or thing " ie. Movies, restaurants, protests, art shows etc…).
• Interview with visiting or local artists / celebrities / persons of note >> Monthly writing assignments for Provokator.org Mapazine (400 " 800 wds depending on topic and subject matter). Other tasks: >> Background research for Publisher / Editor on assigned topics >> Apprentice part-time with partner publications >> Copy writing for Events / Actions / Advertising Certificate of Completion: Instigator Media Group will issue a certificate of completion, list of tasks accomplished, and letter of recommendation for intern. • We assist you in finding accommodation. Interns receive discounts and perks at with our partner businesses (restaurants, concert tickets, boutiques, travel agencies etc...). • After working with IMG for 3 months we often facilitate part-time job placement with one of our cooperative partners.
Candidate Requirements: Candidate Requirements:Prerequisites: Typing, Word Processing, Basic English writing skills, basic internet skills, *knowledge of other languages a plus (German and Czech especially but not mandatory) • We prefer (but not mandatory) student intern to be affiliated or sponsored by educational/financial support program (i.e. Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinci program or other).
